Cooking whitefish in tomato sauce
1

To prepare this recipe, we bought fresh whitefish, 3 pieces weighing 800 grams.

2

Clean fish from scales and entrails. Prepare, clean and wash the rest of the ingredients.

3

Cut off the heads in this dish, they are superfluous. Remove the fins and tail of the fish.

4

Cut the fish into pieces as shown in the photo, 4–5 cm long.

5

Chop the peeled onion. Grate the carrots on a coarse grater.

6

Let's start making tomato sauce. To do this, stir the tomato paste in a 1: 1 ratio with warm water. We have 400 g of tomato paste and 400 ml of water.
Add vegetable oil - 150ml to the tomato mixture, salt - 1.5 tsp, vinegar - 1 tbsp, granulated sugar - 1 tbsp salt - 1.5 tsp.

Do not open the lid until the end of cooking.
The cooking time for fish in tomato sauce is exactly 3 hours from the moment of boiling.

13

After 3 hours, turn off the heat, but do not open the pan yet. Let the finished fish cool in a covered saucepan.
That's it, whitefish in tomato sauce is ready. Mashed potatoes are best served as a side dish.
