Someone, for example, prepares a pickle with pearl barley in beef broth, and someone prefers to cook rice soup using chicken or vegetable broth. But no matter how the pickle is cooked, it always comes out very tasty and nutritious.
First you need to soak the barley, for this, thoroughly rinse it under running water and then pour cold water for 2-3 hours. You can soak the pearl barley overnight, then it will boil faster.

To prepare the meat broth, pour 3 liters of water into the pan and put the beef meat there. Put cook on a big fire.
After the meat boils, it is necessary to remove the foam, salt to taste, add a few bay leaves and a couple of peppercorns. Reduce heat and cook for 2 hours.
