To cook home-made Turkish delight, you don’t need to be an experienced chef. Everything is very simple, and a lot of products are not required, and for a change of taste, orange juice can be replaced with your favorite fruit or berry juice if desired.

How to cook Turkish delight at home

Step 1

Water in a pan

Pour water (380 ml) into the pan.

Add Orange Juice

Add orange juice (250 ml) to the water.

Add granulated sugar

Next, add granulated sugar (300 g) to the pan.

Step 4

Corn starch

Take food corn starch (140 g) - approximate measure is a faceted glass.

Step 5

Add Corn Starch

Add corn starch to the juice with water and mix well with a whisk.

Step 6

Mix starch

Put the pan on the fire and cook constantly stirring with a whisk.

Step 7

Cook until thickened

Cook before desolation.

Step 8

Adding Lemon Juice

After leaving the mass in a pan with thickened mass, add 3 tbsp. tablespoons of lemon juice.

Step 9

Cooking Turkish delight

Continue cooking over low heat. Stir constantly with a spoon during cooking.

Finished mass of Turkish delight

Cook until the moment when the mass becomes fluid, and transparency appears. Next, remove the finished mass from the fire.
Cooking time should be approximately 13-17 minutes.

Turkish delight in the form

After removing from the heat, pour the warm mass from the pan into a mold with a height of 2-3 cm. Pre-spray the mold with cold water.

Smooth shaped surface

In the mold, quickly smooth the surface of the warm mass until it solidifies. Frozen fruit mass quickly.
Next, let the turkish lokum in the mold cool for about an hour at room temperature.

Step 13

Cooking sprinkles for Turkish delight

While the mass is cooling, prepare the mixture to sprinkle the sweets. To do this, put in a bowl 3 tbsp. tablespoons of corn starch and 1 tablespoon of powdered sugar. Stir well. Sprinkling is ready.

Step 14

Cut the Turkish delight into a mold

Next, carefully cut the cooled mass in the form into cubes.

Step 15

Roll Turkish delight in icing sugar

Roll the cubes of lokum in the prepared sprinkle, a mixture of starch and powdered sugar.
